Applications are open for BIPOC FIRE!

Applications are open for BIPOC FIRE! Black-Indigenous-People-of-Color Farming in Relationship with Earth (BIPOC FIRE, formerly known as Black Latinx Farmers Immersion) is an immersion program designed for novice and intermediate growers to gain basic skills in regenerative farming and whole foods preparation in a culturally relevant, supportive, and joyful environment. Participants will learn how to grow and prepare food and will have tools and resources to pursue commercial farming if so desired. It is our hope that you will also deepen your connection to land, heal from inherited trauma rooted in oppression on land, and take steps toward your personal food sovereignty. The advanced “Train the Trainer” program is designed for alumni of BLFI or growers with over 2000 hours growing experience to take their farming and food justice work to the next level through targeted skill development and mentorship. Participants have described the immersion as “a picture of what is possible in a healed world… revolutionary… the best thing that has ever happened to me.” We have four sessions in July and August in English, and one in September in Spanish. Applications close on 3/15, with the priority deadline being 3/1.
